In-person, Online
I originally trained as an Early Childhood Teacher in Australia and then worked across the primary age range and in special educational needs in London schools.

I am currently employed by the Bi-borough Incluson Service, as an advisory teacher to train the children’s workforce on issues related to the inclusion of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities, in particular in speech, language and communication. As part of my role, I devise and implement training programmes, deliver licensed programmes, and co-ordinate the programme for an independent training centre to support workforce development in SEND. Communication skills are key to SEMH and I have also trained to deliver mindfulness sessions to students and staff in schools and is a Compassion and Mindfulness teacher of adults. I also deliver the MindUP Programme (The Goldie Hawn Foundation) in the UK and Australia. I have co-authored 2 publications: ‘Going Places – Transition to Secondary School’ and ‘First Steps to Safety – How to Teach Children Protective Behaviours’.

I first came across Protective Behaviours while working as an early years teacher in Sydney. I kept an interest in PB’s over the years of working in the UK and am now accredited as a qualified Protective Behaviours Co-Trainer, having completed the PBTP Train the Trainer process, under the supervision and mentoring of Sally Ann Hart, a highly experienced and skilled Protective Behaviours trainer.
